Radisson Blu Larnaka International Marathon is pleased to announce the commencement of its collaboration with National Betting Authority (N.B.A.).
Since its establishment in 2012, National Betting Authority (N.B.A.) has been advocating principles, aimed at protecting society. Radisson Blu Larnaka International Marathon seems to be at the same wavelength, the first “green” marathon of Cyprus, which for the second consecutive year is under the auspices of the Commissioner for the Environment.
National Betting Authority (NBA) was set up in 2012 with the passing of Betting Law 106 (I) / 2012. It is an Independent Administrative Authority which has also have financial independence. National Betting Authority as part of its strategic planning has drawn up an Action Plan for Responsible Gambling, where the main objective is to protect people and promote responsible acts with betting and gambling. The Authority is characterized by values that govern its function and scope, intentions and aspirations: Commitment, Compliance, Respect-Integrity, Reliability, Professionalism and Responsibility.
Since its very first run, Radisson Blu International Marathon has been certified by AIMS, the International Long Distance Federation, which automatically assigns it to a closed “club” runway with these credentials. At the same time, it is the only sporting event in Cyprus, which was awarded a gold medal from the Sports Marketing Awards of Greece.
Radisson Blu International Marathon includes races of the Classical Marathon (42,195 km), Half Marathon Road (21,095 km), 10 Kilometers, 5 Kilometers – Corporate, 5 Kilometers – Individual and 1 Kilometer McDonald’s Kids Race 1 Km, and RMHC Fun Race 1Km for adults.
