“I accepted the invitation to be an ambassador of the 1st International Marathon of Larnaka with great pleasure, as it is an honour to represent an institution of this caliber which promotes sports, health and fair play.
It is especially significant for sports to be transformed into a basic element of education and for it to be understood that everyone must take part in exercise from a young age for the good of their health. In addition, through sporting activities and a daily routine, educators should encourage children to take part in sports and exercise from an early age so that young and older people alike embrace sports as a part of their lifestyle. At the same time, exercising and competing against many different people generates one of the most beautiful feelings you can experience.
Exercise must become a significant part of everyone’s life and I believe that it will be promoted sufficiently through the International Marathon of Larnaka».
